Don’t know why these happen but they do so here’s to more Styrofoam nonsense.

The boy who ate Styrofoam lived across the street from grandma.
Why are the little Styrofoam pieces called peanuts, he would ask?
I feel like my head is full of Styrofoam peanuts. grandma would say.
My grandma has these Styrofoam cups in her backseat?? Many, All double cupped n shit
I figured it was for that kid from across the street that eats Styrofoam.

He amused grandma. She would give him a task to make a crunchy Styrofoam brunch, colorful Styrofoam spheres, painted Styrofoam plates that sounds like a chimp when pressed together, strawberry Styrofoam shortcakes.

Using Upright Styrofoam wine shippers and U-shaped neck pillows, the kind filled with miniscule styrofoam balls. Topped with styrofoam boards and a styrofoam ball painted with a brush for the top.
eeeew styrofoam!! Grandma would say, crunchy! squeeky! Tasty! Only styrofoam lasts forever. This is my styrofoam reflection!

Many years later the boy who lived across the street from grandma would say he had won the battle with styrofoam! Why am I eatin ice cream off a styrofoam plate? he pondered on occasion. He had the exact same lunch as you!  Instant noodles in the styrofoam bowl makes me sad now. They taste like colourful diebetic styrofoam. I once ate a styrofoam easter chick maybe thinking it was candy. I may have been drunk. It had fake feathers. 12 years later, still no sign if it. its like a styrofoam taco with pasta inside!

I miss styrofoam fast food packaging. I miss grandma! Anyways, back to drinking my non-fair trade coffee in a styrofoam cup

Lena Horne 93, recently passed, she sang the Sanka 80’s jingle  to the tune of “Java Jive” by The Ink Spots:
I like coffee and I like tea, I love my Sanka ’cause it loves me, my Sanka and me I’m glad we’re caffiene free, a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup – ah! Sanka and me.

Coffee Ring Phenomenon
Have you ever spilled some coffee into the cup holder in your car and then put the cup on your leg and it makes this ring on your pantleg. You wear it for the rest of the day. Big coffee cup ring on your leg. Rubbing it just makes it darker. Big Round Coffee Cup Spot on the Knee or worse on the crotch region. Oh my! You just know it’s going to be a bad day.  That’s not what this is about.

This phenomenon can be noticed when coffee is spilled on a table or counter and observing the spot where the spilled coffee has evaporated. At this spot a dark ring is formed around the perimeter where the particles are more concentrated as compared to the center.

According to scientists these rings can be utilized for analyzing blood or various fluids for disease markers through bio-sensing gadgets.

Topless Coffee Shop Arsonist Caught
Man accused of burning down topless coffee shop arrested in South Carolina
It is being reported that a man who has been accused of burning down a topless coffee shop in Maine was arrested in Spartanburg, SC. Apparently not a case of moral dillema or was it?
According to reports, Raymond Bellavance burned down the “Grand View Topless Coffee Shop” in Vassalboro where his ex-girlfriend was working as a waitress. The shop was burned down in June of 2009.
The topless coffee shop has since been reopened in a trailer. In a trailer Park? So did he burn down the Grand View because his girlfiend wore a bikini to work or was it the coffee really did suck?

Researchers said on Friday that a couple of cups of coffee every day may help some heart attack patients to avoid further serious problems, provided they have normal blood pressure.

The findings come as a surprise considering the fact that strong coffee can cause palpitations.  However, the discovery underlines the complex nature of coffee’s effect on the body.

Colon cancer not exacerbated by coffee or soda

People who drink coffee and soda are not more at risk of developing colon cancer than those who do not, according to a recent study.

The research, conducted at the Harvard School of Public Health and published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, looked at 13 previous studies on the disease conducted in the US and Europe.

Some of these studies have previously suggested that coffee and tea could increase the risk, and some have claimed it could be lowered. Science Daily points out that tea contains anti-oxidants that could serve to prevent cancer but also has polyamines, which theoretically promote cancer.
The new survey looked at 731,441, followed for up to 20 years, 5,604 of which developed colon cancer. Insight into their eating and drinking habits found that coffee lovers – even those who drank up to 6 cups a day – were not more likely to develop the illness. This also applied to those who drank large amounts of soda.

“Drinking coffee, even more than six cups a day, was not associated with risk of colon cancer,” confirmed researcher Dr. Xuehong Zhang of the Harvard School of Public Health.

Leslie Buck, Designer of Iconic Coffee Cup, Dies at 87

It was for decades the most enduring piece of ephemera in New York City and is still among the most recognizable. Trim, blue and white, it fits neatly in the hand, sized so its contents can be downed in a New York minute. It is as vivid an emblem of the city as the Statue of Liberty, beloved of property masters who need to evoke Gotham at a glance in films and on television.

From the New York Times
It is, of course, the Anthora, the cardboard cup of Grecian design that has held New Yorkers’ coffee securely for nearly half a century. Introduced in the 1960s, the Anthora was long made by the hundreds of millions annually, nearly every cup destined for the New York area.

A pop-cultural totem, the Anthora has been enshrined in museums; its likeness has adorned tourist memorabilia like T-shirts and ceramic mugs. Like many once-celebrated artifacts, though, the cup may now be endangered, the victim of urban gentrification.  New York Times
