A Man stole five jars of coffee in an act of revenge at being accused of a theft he had not committed.
Lee Tobin’s temper got the better of him after he was accused with a theft from the One Stop shop, in the town’s Wynyard Road, magistrates heard.
Alan Davison, prosecuting at Hartlepool Magistrates Court, said: “Mr Tobin was suspected of acting suspiciously by a member of staff, who challenged him and asked to see his bag.
“He emptied it and the bag was searched, but nothing was found.
“But later, CCTV footage was reviewed and staff saw him leave with six
jars of coffee which he hadn’t paid for.”
In police interview, Tobin, 29, said he was “upset and frustrated at having been searched and in temper took the items as a form of revenge” and that he sold the coffee for £5, Mr Davison added.
Tobin, of Campbell Road, Hartlepool, admitted committing the theft on May 10.

No coffee for you!

I..think, that in general:

That the Internet creates a great many ’speak first, think later’ dialogs.

That the safe anonymity of the Internet generally fosters thoughtless rudeness and unwarranted self-importance.

That because no one has to look someone in the eye, to insult them, they do so more freely, and more frequently, on the Internet.

That because all dialog on the Internet, is thru emotionless text, misunderstandings will run rampant and unchecked.

That emotions on the Internet are volatile, unreliable, misrepresented or even deliberately faked.

That because connections on the Internet are essentially ephemeral, few will take the time to explain themselves or understand where others are coming from.

That what happens on the Internet, has only as much importance to our real lives, as we chose to give it. That the importance we chose to give it, may not be reciprocated or have the same importance to someone else on the Internet.

Coffee is indeed a popular weapon in N. Carolina, following the coffee road rage episodes another coffee weapon has resurfaced, poison. A woman in N. Carolina has been charged and jailed for trying to kill a man the she was caring for by poisoning his coffee.

The man she tried to poison doesn’t believe she would do such a thing to him.
“She had no reason to poison me, no reason,” he said.
“I can depend on her, as far as that goes,” he said. “Debbie’s a good person.”

Another case of road rage with coffee in northern Virginia has led to charges of throwing a missile. A missile you ask..yes a missile. Apparently in Virginia they have a law against throwing missiles and coffee can be considered a missile if it is thrown in angst. A 40 year old man argued with another motorist while driving. The man became so upset that he fired his coffee missile, hitting the person in the passenger seat in the other car. What a relief.. noone was injured by the coffee missile.. but the perpetrator will be charged with a felony.

The arrest came less than a week after “McMissile Mom” avoided prison time on similar charges in Stafford County. However she still faces a 2 year prison term for throwing a coffee cup at another motorist. The judge instructed the jury that any physical object can be a missile and be propelled by any force, including throwing. The jury convicted Hall and recommended the minimum of two years in prison.

Coffee without Cigs

When I first started smoking I can remember buy my first pack from a vending machine in a local bowling alley. I thing they were like 35 cents back then. I have been at it for way to long and will probably pay the price even if I do manage to kick it this time. They say that you should not drink as much coffee when you try to quit but that is just not going to happen. I’m nervious anyways so no way i want to give up coffee and cigs.

Today I am having a coffee blend by Don Fransisco. It is actually a cheaper blend coffee for some reason but we really like it. It’s a Hazelnut in a Scooby-Doo mug. Was able to drink a couple of cups before wifey got any.

I noticed at the local Price Chopper that there is some local VT roasters popping up. I will have to try them  when I get the chance. They claim they have a fair trade coffee which I really dont understand. Don’t get me wrong I understand the concept but I ‘m sorry I don’t believe the fair trade thing. I’m sure those farmers are just as dirt poor as the other farmers.
