In the shadow of the valley of light, words evaporate like mist. A claw and crag, a solitary tree, the changing moods of El Capitan and Half Dome— Beyond the reach of words, these scenes are a pang in the throat and chest. Thank goodness for landscape photography!
Claw and Crag
Tree. Falls.
El Capitan: Three moods in two days
Half Dome: Handheld at high ISO for a super grainy, painterly effect
Departure: Driving home through Modesto

Thanks goodness for landscape photography, INDEED! Oh how I wish I could perfect mine. Still working with *just* my iPhone (and some Moment lenses when I have inspiration to use them). But I don’t really know what I’m doing. Still, I’m inspired.
Hope you are well, my friend. I evoked your name in a recent journal entry as I was reflecting on my feelings about humanity. And landscapes. I’m feeling a sense of spiritual camaraderie with you, even though we’ve not spoke in a while.
Would love to change that in 2022. You know…my always invitation for a hike or meet-up. Really hope you are well. Are you still moving? We’re aiming to move to San Rafael in 2022. What a ride. Weeeeee!
