We often think of corporate headshot photography in the context of high-tech industry, especially here in the Bay Area. But other types of businesses need headshot and brand photography, too.
I love the quiet realism of this portrait, also the texture and moody background. I didn’t use a strobe or a speed light. Just highly directional ambient light, my favorite at the moment. We’re standing inside a vast warehouse near an entry way the size of a garage door.
The image is also a composite of three files, a kind of panorama, a face, and two shoulders. This blending technique enables me to capture an incredible amount of detail in the skin, hair, and eyes.
