I’m a quiet observer at heart.
I try to live without hope or expectation.
But I have moments of weakness.
When that happens, I make silent bargains.
I promise to be patient,
To honor silence and discretion,
And to embrace the awkwardness of others.
All in the fervent hope that one day I’ll stand under soft light, beneath olive trees, with a mother-to-be—radiant, serene, and tough as nails, carrying everything with strength and beauty and grace.
