Editorial Portrait Photography

This editorial portrait photography series centers on beauty, hair, and fashion. The emphasis is on shape, texture, and controlled natural light. The model’s hair serves as both subject and structure—defining line, framing the face, and creating movement. The approach is restrained, with light revealing detail and depth, and styling kept refined so the beauty and fashion elements remain central. A special thank you to Harini Sundar for participating in this ambitious project.

Family Photography: San Francisco Bay Area

From pairs and small groups to large family gatherings.
Simple poses, clear direction, and room for real interaction once everyone’s in place.
Here are recent examples from three different outings.

Friends Photoshoot: San Francisco Bay Area—Candid Moments at Santana Row

We spent the afternoon wandering Santana Row with no real agenda in mind. Browsing, laughing, dancing, and drinking wine. I captured candid lifestyle moments as they unfolded, offering only occasional direction. Letting things breathe and move at their own pace is ideal for emotional realism, allowing joy and connection to surface naturally. I hope you enjoy.

Fun in the Field: Family Photos at Coyote Creek Park

2026 is off to a good start on the family photography front. Last week, I met a dad, his two children, and their dog at Coyote Creek Park in Morgan Hill for an outdoor family photoshoot. They came ready to have fun, and that energy made the session feel more like playing in a field than posing for the camera. The kids ran through the grass, collected pine cones, and laughed at their dad’s jokes. Their dog joined in on the fun, too. These sessions are my favorite because they’re playful, natural, and real. Here are a few highlights from our time at Coyote Creek Park.
